What's Next?

It's been quite a while since my last post, so I thought I'd check back in. Lots happened since August 2013. Two major events. One my father's diagnosed with Alzheimer's  disease..Hard to believe that, but he's 85, still physically healthy, and mentally pretty with it, so we're hoping that it doesn't progress to rapidly. What a shitty shitty disease! Well, he gets around better than I do. Which brings me to event number two. Have been experiencing problems with my right hip since summer of 13. Saw my general physician last October, spent the month of November in rehab, and have continued to exercise, etc. etc. Not much help. In fact, it's gotten worse. Went to see my orthopedic surgeon on Monday, 17 March, and guess?!? I need a total hip replacement! I didn't see that coming. Just celebrated my 64th birthday, and was wondering why I've been feeling like such an old fart. On some days, I'm damn near an invalid. Well, I'm going to find out tomorrow how soon I can schedule the surgery. I'll be off work 4 to 6 weeks. Ouch that hurts the old pocketbook. I'll report back again when I find out when my surgery.
