Merry Christmas

Six days ago it was snowing like hell. Today it is raining! Go figure.
Christmas is nearly upon us. Most of the shopping is done, (not all of it), and I find the running around searching, finding, and deciding are somewhat stressful. My wife loves it. Actually she just loves shopping, period. We leave for Minneapolis tomorrow, and the weatherman is promising rain/snow/sleet, etc, etc. That's the rest of the stress. Traveling at night is not a picnic under normal circumstances. Add some shitty weather and you've got what could turn into a "white-knuckle flight". Oh well, been there, done that.
Maybe we'll all get lucky and get a break from all of the political baloney that we've been inundated, with here of late.....unlikely though, I guess.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas, and a happy New Year. And I especially hope that during all of the rush, eating, drinking, and gift giving/receiving, that everyone takes a few moments out to think about all the men and women around the world, who are wearing uniforms of the United States Military, and the fact that they are away from their families and friends. And, that many of them are right now in harms way. May God bless and protect them all, and hopefully may they return to their homes soon.....very soon!
