Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady was partially correct when he stated "This state is a disappointment". However, what he should have said, is this state is an utter disaster! The old adage remains solidly true. "IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO". Mr. Brady and his party, being the other half of this dance team, are just as much responsible for the mess as are the Democrats. There is more than enough blame to go around. The fact that Bill was absent most of the last two weeks of spring leglislative session, and missed 207 out of 448 votes illustrates how serious he is. And when an AP reporter pointed this fact out, Bill just laughed and said "I'm fulfilling my duties as Illinois state Senator"... Ya, right!?!
To be sure, the Democrats are not much better. Governor Pat Quinn was also MIA for a fair amount of time during these last two weeks, where Illinois state government had an opportunity to do something about the dismal state of Illinois financial affairs.
The only action that both parties excel at is finger pointing. In fact, it is mildly surprising that they all don't have carpel tunnel syndrome from constantly extending their index fingers and pointing across the isle at the other guys! They all call themsleves loyal politicians. They are loyal all right, loyal to their own reelection campaigns!
It is disgusting to see the display of harrumphing and finger-pointing, as the "DO-NOTHING GANG" skedaddles out of town for their summer break!
"GET-R-DONE"!.....NOT!!

oh, come on now. They ARE doing something.
They're doing their best to put the state into more debt. They're borrowing to pay what's owed. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
