We have become a debtor nation, borrowing immense amounts of cash annually to keep this nation perking along in the manner to which we've all become accustomed.
Lately, the value of the dollar has been falling like an elevator with a busted cable. And, if the Chinese to dump our dollars and bonds, in favor of something more profitable, like Euro dollars, we will indeed be headed for severe recession.
And all our government can do is continue to throw vast amounts of dollars funding a illegal, immoral, and tragically wasteful (in terms of human loss) war, which is lining the pockets of some of this country's largest corporations. They are what Dwight Eisenhower warned us of long ago, The military industrial complex. Companies that make obscene profits off of the death and destruction that war facilitates.
