IT TOUCHES US ALL

This economic downturn, (kindhearted way of saying severe recession), has finally caught up to our family. I knew it would eventually, but you know how we all keep thinking to ourselves that it will always be the "other guy".
The restaurant in downtown Chicago, where our oldest son ran the bar, closed up, without any notice, and paid him with checks that bounced higher than a super ball. And this week, my work week was cut from 5 days to 4 days. I'm not complaining too hard. Many of my fellow employees have been cut down to 3 days. As Logistic Manager of the company, my duties require more of a presence than 3 days. This is not to say it won't become a 3 day week, if we continue on the downward spiral that has become the first quarter of 2009.
We can only hope and pray that our nation, (hell, the whole world), can pull itself out of the current slide and get back to a more productive and normal existence.
you know the old saying.... "keep the faith baby"!
