Spent a Saturday/Sunday in Chicago recently. It's a swell town, but bring your wallet! Especially if you plan to hang 'downtown'. Fortunately for us, we were able to camp out at son Kyle's digs. Made him sleep on the sofa-bed!
I took the skyline pics from the 96th floor cocktail lounge of the John Hancock building, while sipping on a scotch-rocks. Pretty Cool! Ate dinner Saturday night at a trendy Tacoria, (taco joint), that had great food, and dammed good margaritas!
Sunday, we took the bus from Kyle's pad back downtown, and spent some time in Millennium park, right off of Michigan avenue. Very nice space, with wonder sculptures, most notably one called the 'BEAN', for it's shape reminiscent of a bean.
There were also some very strange Chinese exhibits as well, could not quite figure those out.
All in all, it was a fun weekend! We're going back again on Saturday, May 23rd. Kyle is performing in the Navy Pier's family theater!! His first paying job as an actor!! I'll bring back pics of the pier, and hopefully some of Kyle performing.
