They say that the best job in the world is the one that you get paid for doing what you want to do most in your life. And so, Kyle, our eldest son, got a taste of just that the first two weeks of June.
As I commented in my previous post, he auditioned for and earned a role performing at the Family Pavilion, on Navy Pier, downtown Chicago. And the most delicious part of this was the fact that he was being paid to rehearse, and perform!!! Which, if you happen to be acquainted with Kyle, you already know that is what he loves to do the most in this world, (except for being with his sweetie Aurora!) Right in front of our eyes, he became "Barnacle Bob" in a 30 minute uber family friendly skit, along with 3 other Navy Pier 'pirates', in the "Battle for the Booty". It was grand fun, and he is having a blast, as you can see from the pictures! Who knows what other doors this may open for him?? We certainly wish him the best as he continues his quest to make "treading the boards"!!
