Sayonara, Summer Part 2

Well, Labor day was a blast! It started out cloudy, and we for sure thought that the Illinois weather man would pull his usual boner, and predict a beautiful holiday all week, only to wake up on the holiday to find clouds and rain!  BUT, this time the clouds disappeared by 1pm, and the day turned gorgeous!

 Both of our sons were there, as well as some good friends. And, the porterhouse steaks were absolutely the BEST!!! Cooking them right on top of the coals was very successful.  4 minutes on a side, (1" thick steaks), and they were awesome..... Peppers were great too, not to mention the libations!!
